This service has the remote.intents.supported property set. It lists the intents supported by the Remote Service implementation.

CXF registers such a service, it has the following properties:

remote.configs.supported = org.apache.cxf.ws, pojo, org.apache.cxf.rs
remote.intents.supported = addressing, logging, SOAP, SOAP.1_1, SOAP.1_2, HTTP

So you see that intents can currently be used to switch between SOAP 1.1 and SOAP 1.2. Once JMS is supported selecting that through intents will also be possible...

Hope this helps,

DavidDavid Bosschaerthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13786738766478890804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9210566578097047576.post-50536384299352603972009-10-13T16:50:57.607-07:002009-10-13T16:50:57.607-07:00Hi David,

A follow up on this one:
Q: Can you talk more about discovery with ZooKeeper and how that would work?

I've got this working well, but I'm hung up on 1 thing. If I don't specify the org.apache.cxf.ws.address it will default to localhost. That's all well and good, except the (literal) localhost endpoint is what gets bound into Zookeeper. If I specify the host address explicitly it all works fine, but I'd like to avoid that so I don't have to customize the service decorators for each individual host. In other words, I'd like to be able to just specify service.exported.interfaces and nothing else. Is it possible to leverage default behavior to get the actual IP of the localhost bound into Zookeeper with the current implementation?

Thanks,
Thombonthommehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14599116368145031864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9210566578097047576.post-54198722049886010132009-05-13T10:15:00.000-07:002009-05-13T10:15:00.000-07:00Hi David,

Plus they can reuse the ECF code from existing providers to implement their own wire protocol...if they wish. So...although I don't expect you to sell this point, it would be reasonable to mention that we do have these capabilities built in now. Further, as we discussed at EclipseCon, I would like to see a joint effort to create a CXF-based provider implementation of the ECF remote services API...if you are game.

Thanks,

ScottScott Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15783631237186844143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9210566578097047576.post-8572154858686582032009-05-08T12:36:00.000-07:002009-05-08T12:36:00.000-07:00Hi David.
